to immortalize those that borrow art without asking

From time to time I see images of mine that are borrowed without my knowledge. Occasionally they are butchered to improve their looks. I really think it is worth posting the results here so that everyone can enjoy the efforts of a few. For those that send me links when they recognize one of these borrowed images; I really do appreciate your efforts.

I hope you sent them an invoice. No one who lives and works in LA can possibly plead ignorance of copyright and IP laws. If this designer had grabbed artwork from one of the studios they probably would have received more than an invoice.

It amaze me how some people think that they can get away with things like this. I make Incredimail Stationery and also write tutorials for several years now. I would not dare to use an artist's work I see online wihtout requesting permission first.

I was so honored and please that you were one of the artist who gave me permission to use your artwork and I take great pride in making sure I do not do a thing that you would disapprove of; along with providing a link back to your site.

I hope you get this matter settle with these folks.

You gave a couple presentations at the University of Central Florida a few weeks back. I'm a student there in the Visual Language program, a couple of us were talking to you about this stuff. That's really too bad. Although I wish I had work good enough that people wanted to steal it! I also saw that you're doing a class on CGSociety. That's great. It's cool to meet people in the industry. I love your stuff, you're really talented.

Thats pretty disgusting that they used your art without your permission! I hope they are informed that it is illegal to do so.

Unfortunately, the people that borrow work pretty much don't care that it is immoral at the least and illegal at the worst. Sigh.

Danny, It was fun visiting. Hopefully I will get to do it again sometime soon.

Today I found a lot of yours (and mine, and others) tutorials on the site above. Since I hade removed the tutorials from my site more than one year ago, I was surprised to find them stored somewhere else, without my permission. So del.icio.us rips yours and mine and a lot of others artworks without permission too. A total ignorance of copyright law!

I love your work! Long ago I saved a free graphic set created from one of your paintings. Searching my harddrive for classy, feminine sets last night for use in creation of a new site, I found yours. I tried to return to the download site, hoping to find more of your work, but the site is now closed, or is having major problems.

I then tried to go to YOUR site and found that it too is temporarily down, so I followed the link to your blog in hopes that you will see this post and contact me immediately with links to sites where I can find your work used in more background sets.

Please add me to your mailing list to let me know when your site is back up again.

Here is the set download address, with reference to your site...
